I am a senior at The College of New Jersey's Honors Program majoring in Journalism and Professional Writing with minors in Communication Studies and Interactive Multimedia. I thrive on a digital editorial team where I can incorporate interactive storytelling for a widespread audience.
I have spent more than three years honing my skills as a journalist and am well-versed in producing health and lifestyle editorial pieces, analyzing e-commerce trends, and integrating SEO strategy among digital and social media platforms. Currently, I am a Buying Guides Fellow at Business Insider where I work with the Insider Reviews team to serve an audience of more than 375 million users. Researching, testing (and then writing about) the best of the best products and services across tech, style, home, kitchen, beauty, and travel verticals brings me joy; service journalism encourages me to be both strategic and creative in the editorial industry.
My internship experience with CNN Underscored cemented my strong interest in the lifestyle and e-commerce verticals. I produced health, style, tech, and travel content for CNN.com during Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping cycles and optimized content through paid partnerships and affiliate sponsorships.
I applied my strong interest in editorial content as a National Lifestyle Writer for Her Campus Media. Now, I report well-researched and expert-sourced enterprises for the reporting section of this digital portfolio to highlight angles of interest. I especially enjoy speaking with content creators and journalists to highlight their take on the influencer marketing industry and the news market, respectively.
I have gained valuable industry skills as a Digital Editorial Intern for "The Dr. Oz Show" in the summer of 2019 during the show's 10th Anniversary and as a Medical Editorial Intern for the Medscape/WebMD platforms during the height of COVID-19.
I also enjoy incorporating visuals into my pieces. I have created original graphics on Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Datawrapper to accompany some of my written work. These visuals have been published on HerCampus.com and CNN.com, as well as this portfolio.
Whether I am collaborating with an editorial team or brainstorming original content to pitch, I am consistently focused on audience engagement, SEO strategy, and creative direction.
When I am not shuffling through news sites online and newsletters in my inbox, I enjoy reading new books, journaling, spending *too much time* on Pinterest, and browsing lifestyle blogs (all with an iced coffee in hand).
