Victoria Giardina is currently studying at the College Honors Program at The College of New Jersey with a major in Journalism and Professional Writing in the School of Arts and Communication and minors in Communication Studies and Interactive Multimedia.
Victoria has spent two years honing her skills in news reporting and digital media through specialized collegiate courses and various experiences. She has served as a news assistant for The Signal, the College's student-run, award-winning weekly newspaper. Currently in the newsroom, she is The Signal's "Vital Signs" health columnist as well as a staff writer for news, features and opinion pieces.
Victoria is a feature writer for Her Campus Media, a production assistant for LTV News -- the College's student-run television production organization -- and a College Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
She has gained valuable industry skills as a Digital Editorial Intern for "The Dr. Oz Show" in Summer 2019, working alongside the editorial, social media and video production teams to create original content for DoctorOz.com. She also worked for Step Up Magazine as a remote journalist and editor for the Boston-based publication. Victoria discovered her niche in feature reporting through her coursework and internship experience and hopes to pursue a career in the digital news industry.
